Folklore Art Museum of Cycladic Civilization:
The ultimate portal of the Greek cultural heritage

Benetos Skiadas, an ordinary fisherman, managed to revive the Greek Tradition by creating his unique, functional and handmade miniatures using materials only from the Cycladic land. And all these without making any draft or using any scientific instruments. He created them only by using the divine gifts with which he was born; observation, perception, passion for creativity. The result is excellent and all the miniatures function in a perfect way. All his memories and personal experiences were strongly impressed on his mind and prompted him – with the help of his skillful hands– to revive the tradition and his dreams.

The visitor can admire an all types of Greek ships such as warships, merchant ships and fishing boats which give you the impression that they are ready to sail. Gri-gri, drift-boats, steamships, sailing boats, triremes are all constructed with the traditional shipbuilding and are exact replicas of the genuine models.

Kolymbithres beach
for a breathtaking rocky scenery

Climb the rock formations scattered throughout Kolymbithres Beach. Sculpted into smooth shapes by the sea and the wind over centuries, these formations separate the beach into small, intimate areas. Relax on a lounge chair on the white sand or swim among schools of fish through the still, clear water. A watersport shack offers kayaks, waterskies, and other equipment for hire. There are a few beach bars and taverns along the road leading to the beach, which is accessible by local bus, cars, and small fishing boats.

A visit to Kolymbithres Beach represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Paros tour itinerary builder to plot your vacation.
